Gong Bath: De-stress and Relax

Sound therapy is a unique type of experience. We all have busy lives, rushing from here to there, generally feeling there is never enough time to do everything. The intention behind our sessions is to give you a welcome break from feeling this way. Our sound experience is designed to give you a truly deep sense of relaxation. We hope you will feel as we do, and experience a beautiful tranquil feeling. Guests at our events report feeling much calmer after the sound experience.During our sound experience sessions, we use different instruments, such as rattles, crystal bowls, Tibetan singing bowls, drums, gongs and others. We use a variety to help maximize the effects and also make the events more interesting and exciting for you! We aim to build a safe, comfortable yet magical atmosphere, and hope to offer you a friendly and inspirational place to relax or simply enjoy the power and beauty of sound! Each session is unique, variety adds another dimension, and as any musicians will know, playing instruments intuitively can often produce surprising and rewarding results. (Please see our Facebook page for reviews from past guests). https://www.facebook.com/pg/HolisticHealingTherapy/reviews/?ref=page_internalPlease find below the general outline for each event. We will start with 5min drumming and rattling, which is believed to help relieve stress and assists deep relaxation. We will then follow with a short 5 minute guided meditation, which will be accompanied by a crystal bowl. Please, be aware that doors will be locked at this point. We will then transition into the Earth Gong, which creates a wonderful uplifting feeling. The session ends with questions and comments; you can also speak with Gary and Olga about the instruments used and feel the sound vibrations directly. The gong and drum create very low-frequency sound waves, something the bodies sense of touch can feel, these are also the sound waves that offer profound relaxation and can work in a similar way to deep tissue massage within the body. Our sound sessions are dedicated to relaxation and relieving stress – for deeper relaxation, we recommend combining our yoga classes with this follow-up gong bath. You can find more information about our yoga classes on Eventbrite - we offer a cheaper package ticket for both sessions. You can also purchase a full day ticket including our special afternoon workshops. For more information, please visit our website http://www.holistichealingtherapy.co.uk or contact us directly. Traditional Himalayan Style Yoga

Our beautiful and serene location at Harry Edwards Healing Sanctuary Shere is a perfect place to practice yoga. Harry Edwards has a beautiful and uplifting energetic atmosphere, this should add to your enjoyment. If you are like us, you will feel the unique atmosphere upon arrival and enjoy the bunnies, birds, and animals, you can also enjoy stunning views across the Surrey Hills. There are many documented health and wellbeing benefits of practicing yoga. “Yoga participants report better sleep, increased energy levels and muscle tone, relief from muscle pain and stiffness, improved circulation and overall better general health. The breathing aspect of yoga can benefit heart rate and blood pressure”. (Please see our Facebook page for reviews from past guests). https://www.facebook.com/pg/HolisticHealingTherapy/reviews/?ref=page_internalTrained in India, we are teaching traditional Himalayan style yoga. Yoga is a balance between mind, body, and spirit. Our yoga practices combine all three elements - physical workout in the form of yoga postures; exercises to extend vital force (also known as prana or chi/ki) - pranayama; and spiritual practices - in the form of mantra repetition and concentration on internal states of consciousness throughout the practice. In our physical practice, we will focus on warming up and opening exercises. Simple yet profound, they are aimed at increasing the flexibility in the body and are highly recommended for anyone with stiff joints, flexibility issues, those new to yoga, or anyone who wants to deepen their yoga practice. The result is a thoroughly profound yogic practice aimed at boosting health, increasing energy and vitality, lifting the spirits, improving mood, and increasing mental and physical strength, stability, and balance. Our yoga sessions are dedicated to relaxation and relieving stress – for deeper relaxation, we recommend combining our yoga classes with this follow-on gong bath. Feeling & Matter : Creator & Creature of Art

This summer, a new Charity Pop-Up Gallery with Garden will celebrate art whilst raising awareness of and funds for mental health with Oakleaf and nature conservation with WWF-UK. This summer's exhibition, Feeling & Matter, will exhibit the diverse creative output of the English painter, sculptor, picture restorer and writer, John Rich. "An artist is both creator and creature of art, a product and producer of its history, the past to which the artist responds and the future for which he or she is responsible." John Rich, a contemporary of Peter Blake and David Hockney and exhibited alongside them, would go on to have critically successful one-man shows in London. However, affected by bi-polar, he went into self-imposed exile and did his best to focus on a growing family. When he emerged his works did not appear to fit the fashion of the day and, not for the first time, he questioned his place in the new art world order. “The concepts of ‘quality’, ‘better than’ or ‘of a higher or finer order’ – indeed any judgement – is seized upon as evidence of the heresy of elitism, class privilege and snobbery. The punishment for which is exile.” Eventually he would give up any attempt at recognition and he went on to produce a significant body of work, rapidly developing through various styles. “The intention of the artist is to invest matter with meaning.” If we are open to them, there are occasional, fleeting moments of insight, comfort or revelatory engagement which strike us, often by surprise, for example in encounters with the natural world. Through his art, John Rich's work serves both as a record and as a source of these experiences. The original works and studies by the artist can be seen on the new website dedicated to his art and a curated selection on display this summer at the Charity Pop-Up Gallery with Garden in Shere, England. These are steps toward John Rich regaining the recognition that eluded him for many years. Feeling & Matter is a retrospective celebration of his work. The adjoining garden complements the gallery and reflects the life-long relationship between the artist and his muse. Artworks on show include those kindly on loan from the private collection of Lord & Lady Levy. Supported by Surrey County Council, Careprint, Treacle Media, Country Pictures, Kinghams, Albury Organic Vineyard.  Before You Travel If you are making a special trip to see the Charity Pop-up Gallery with Garden, please check our Facebook or Instagram page or this website first to ensure the gallery is definitely open. The Charity Pop-Up Gallery with Garden is run by volunteers and circumstances beyond our control may result in closure. Notice of any such problems will be issued via Instagram, Facebook and this website with as much advance notice as possible.
