Blinco's Restaurant was established in 1996 by Jim Blinco and Oakie Yoneoka, who opened their doors just as Hurricane Fran hit the Triangle. Some how, some way, with most of Raleigh without power, the restaurant managed to hum with the sound of neon lights and the glow of a mere 14 televisions.
