Dr. Green, originally from Guin, Alabama, graduated magna cum laude in Natural Science and Mathematics from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1989. He earned his O.D. from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry in 1992, subsequently serving as an Optometrist in the U.S. Army until 1994. He continued in the U.S. Army Reserves until 2000.
