    Divi lasi

        (Riga,  Latvia)

Description: Divi lasi (Two Salmons) offers fish fillets, shrimp, and even seaweed salad, among other things.

    Dnipro

        (Riga,  Latvia)

    Description: Ukrainian style restaurant.

    Dublin

        (Riga,  Latvia)

Description: Rigas other Irish pub may not have been the first, but it is certainly not the least of its genre. Football paraphernalia compliments the decor which is everything one would expect from a purveyor of that black nectar, Guinness. The menu is worth your perusal, but the service could be greatly improved.

    Dzirnavas

        (Riga,  Latvia)

Description: Alus sA§ta's sister restaurant is similar, but bigger, better and even fuller of happy Latvians. The huge buffet spans a number of rooms and even makes those who just had lunch drool. The saying over the door states that he who belches while eating will eat there next year. See you then!

    Dzuljeta

        (Riga,  Latvia)

Description: Although the modern building next to the car wash isn't reminiscent of an Armenian tavern, the lush interior of fountains, plants and stone tiles certainly do the trick. Sit in one of the many partitioned private spaces and choose from a wide variety of Caucasian cuisine as well as a few international dishes like sir-fried chicken and moussaka (Greek aubergine, cheese and potato casserole).

    DA¢vids

        (Riga,  Latvia)

Description: We want to love DA¢vids, not just because it's lovingly named after the owner's late grandfather, but because of the reasonable prices, the unhurried vacationing-on-the-coast feel, and the 'Spanish' guitar music. However, as in many of Riga's ethnic restaurants, the tastiest thing on the menu is pork. If you're looking for fresh seafood paella, borrow a sailor suit from the wait staff and catch the fish yourself.

    DAipro

        (Riga,  Latvia)

Description: Ukrainian restaurant that have slavic newspapers available.

    D’Artanjans

        (Riga,  Latvia)

Description: This cosy French-owned café/delicatessen offers a wide selection of delicious meats, cheeses, patés, and even oysters all flown in weekly from France. Order a sandwich with a glass of wine or, if they don't have your favourite French food, ask them to find it and import it for you. Home delivery.

    ErevA¢na

        (Riga,  Latvia)

Description: Although the pictures of Armenian landmarks and landscapes are a good start, this restaurant lacks follow-through on their menu. Only a scant few main courses are offered and these are of a standard grilled meat variety. If one were to find a silver lining it would be the selection of Georgian wines and hard alcohol prices listed by the bottle, a decidedly Caucasian touch.

    EsplanA¢de

        (Riga,  Latvia)

Description: Hotel restaurant that offers anything from burritos and surf and turf to Latvian specialities like honey and Balsams-glazed pork fillets.

    Fiesta

        (Riga,  Latvia)

Description: A humble steakhouse, with an interior consisting of yachting brochures and slot machines, located in the same building as a 24-hour car wash.

    FA§nikss

        (Riga,  Latvia)

Description: The Phoenix has risen from the ashes of the defunct Golden Panda restaurant, so the interior of Chinese landscapes and lanterns hasn't changed much, but the food has improved. The service isn't exactly up to Western standards, but at least the kung pao meets Eastern criterion.

    GarjA¢nis

        (Riga,  Latvia)

Description: Offers steamed, grilled, braised, baked or stir-fried international dishes.

    Giuditta

        (Riga,  Latvia)

Description: This bright green and gold restaurant is ideal for a business lunch, especially if your boss is paying. Choose from a wide variety of Italian pasta starters and move on to delicious meat and fish dishes and vegetable side orders. Also offer two and three course weekly specials.
