    Kitajskij Letchik Jao Da

    Description: Small bar very close to Metro Kitaj-Gorod is favored by the fans of alternative music (concerts almost daily starting at 11:00 p.m.). nnDecor follows an elaborate story of a Chinese pilot Jao-Da (ask the waiter or check the Web site for details). nnCover charge usually is about $4. Most drinks are in $2-$5 range.nnWarning: lots of cigarette smoke on weekends. For a less noisy place, you can try Cooker's Home that shares the entrance with Jao Da.

    Description: A very Ukraininan restaurant next to metro station Leninskij Prospekt. A large two-stories spacec is decorated in Ukrainian pesant theme. Food matches the decor - heavy Ukrainian borsches with pampushkas, large portions. nnExpect to spend about $20 for lunch (and take some leftovers with you).

    Description: Jazz concerts daily at 21:30 p.m. Spacious room with large bar stand.nnCover charge is $2 to $8, but can go much higher if popular musicians are playing. Most drinks are in $4-$6 range.nnReservations are ususally not needed - place is bit too pricey for Moscow jazz fans.

In the latter case, try to get a table by the window. nnFor an authentic train feel, you can order tea, which will be served in a glass with a metal glass-holder....

    Description: Georgian cuisine in the downtown Moscow, few steps away from the Lenin library. nnLarge terrace overlooking a quiet Moscow yard with few other restaurants.
