Osteria del Castello

The <i>Osteria del Castello</i> is located in a wing of the 16th century castle that dominates the village of Castell'Alfero a few kilometers from Asti. The decor is unashamedly aristocratic, with large and widely spaced tables - however, the high stucco ceilings, the marble floors, the monochrome walls and lighting combine to create a rather cold feeling that the carpets do little to offset. In the summer meals are served on a magnificent terrace with far-reaching panoramic views.
