Browns in Bristol was opened in 1992 and is housed in the building that has served as the City's museum, art gallery and the University Dining Rooms, modelled on the Doge's Palace in Venice. Serves a selection of snacks, light meals as well as wines, cocktails and mixed drinks. Starters from £3.50 to £10.00 (June 2005). Mains start from £5.00 for hot sandwiches.
