Duplex 2205 Pipe/Tube

Duplex 2205 pipe, also widely called 2205 duplex pipe, 2205 duplex steel pipe, duplex 2205 steel pipe or 2205 stainless steel pipe, is a standard dual-phase stainless steel tubular product defined under ASTM A790/A789 specifications. It features a balanced austenite-ferrite microstructure, combining high strength and excellent corrosion resistance.

As a critical performance parameter, its density is strictly controlled at 7.75-7.91 g/cm³, which fully falls in the required 1%-2% tolerance range for industrial duplex steel pipes. This precise control ensures consistent mechanical performance and accurate engineering weight calculation for all application scenarios.

Different from common austenitic stainless steel, this 2205 series delivers over 450MPa minimum yield strength, twice that of regular 316L grade, with outstanding chloride stress cracking and pitting resistance. It works reliably in harsh corrosive environments like offshore and petrochemical systems.
