A ghost books writer, more commonly known as a ghostwriter, is a professional writer who creates books, articles, speeches, or other written content that is officially credited to another person. The term “ghost” refers to the writer’s invisibility—although they do the actual writing, their name does not appear on the cover. Ghost book writers play a major role in modern publishing, helping celebrities, business leaders, politicians, influencers, and even everyday individuals transform their ideas, stories, and expertise into professionally written books.

At its core, ghost book writing is a collaborative craft.
