Litehouse began through the sale of residential and commercial chemicals, including high quality concentrated chemicals distributed to residential swimming pool owners and commercial operators. By 1965, the company had rapidly expanded into many other areas of the swimming pool industry, including swimming pool maintenance and construction. This expansion led to the first opening of a full service retail store in Berea, Ohio in 1967.
