The Tsum Valley, north east of the Manaslu (heap of the spirit) trail, was at first opened to trekking in 2008. The Tsumbas are of Tibetan origination, talk a unique vernacular and still trade toward the north. The valley is rich in old-fashioned workmanship, culture and religion. It adds an extravagantly compensating extension to the Manaslu trek.
