Mile End Plumbing is a local, family-owned plumbing business serving Mile End and the inner west. The suburb was laid out in 1860, and its grid still carries red brick cottages, semi-detached pairs and inter-war villas alongside newer infill. Our general plumbing work covers leaking taps, toilet and cistern repairs, burst pipes, gas fitting and leak detection, and dishwasher or fridge plumbing installation. When drains slow or back up, we run a CCTV camera inspection to find the cause, then clear the line with hydrojet cleaning or restore it through pipe relining. Much of the pre-war stock around Rose Street and Hughes Street was plumbed with galvanised steel water lines that have narrowed inside, so we often trace rust-coloured water and pinhole leaks to those ageing pipes. The original earthenware clay drains under the older cottages remain in service, and roots from the mature street trees push into the joints.
