Paranoid Photos is a privacy-first cloud for personal photos that uses end-to-end, zero-knowledge encryption so only you can decrypt your images.
It’s designed for consumers: families, parents, and anyone who wants a simple, private place to store personal photos.
Main advantages: no server-side AI or face recognition, device-side encryption by default, and manual album organization so users stay in control.
Encryption details: photos are encrypted client-side using industry-standard authenticated encryption with per-file keys; those keys are protected on-device by a user key derived) so no plaintext keys are ever sent to the server.
Optional recovery is user-controlled: you can enable an encrypted escrow or printable recovery token that the service stores only as ciphertext — Paranoid Photos cannot decrypt it without your passphrase.
