About Us
Sleep apnea is a serious sleep disorder in which breathing repeatedly stops and starts during sleep. Recognizing its symptoms early is crucial because untreated sleep apnea can lead to long-term health issues such as high blood pressure, heart disease, and daytime fatigue.
Common Nighttime Symptoms
Loud and persistent snoring – Often the most noticeable symptom, especially in obstructive sleep apnea.
Pauses in breathing – Observed by a partner; may be followed by choking or gasping.
Restless sleep – Tossing, turning, or waking up frequently.
Nighttime sweating – Excessive sweating while sleeping.
Frequent urination at night (nocturia) – Waking up multiple times to urinate.
Daytime Symptoms
Excessive daytime sleepiness – Feeling extremely tired despite adequate sleep.
Morning headaches – Caused by reduced oxygen levels during sleep.
Difficulty concentrating – Reduced cognitive function and memory problems.
